Efficient, compact, automated: The GEBHARDT Versastore® as the key to the smart factory
In modern logistics and production, efficiency, space savings and automation are decisive factors. This is precisely where the GEBHARDT Versastore® comes in - a storage solution that sets new standards with its flexible design and the ability to process components directly.
Maximum space utilisation through dynamic storage
While conventional storage systems are limited by fixed height structures, the GEBHARDT Versastore® focuses on maximum flexibility. As an innovative storage system, it makes optimum use of the available space and adapts dynamically to a wide variety of product geometries. Workpieces, semi-finished products or piece goods are efficiently organised in a block storage-like structure - without any unnecessary empty space. Even with batch size 1, the system ensures fast and reliable storage and retrieval. The intelligent Versastore® bots access the trays from above and transport the products to where they are needed: directly into production, to machines or to neighbouring systems. Workstations and conveyor technology can be connected on all sides of the warehouse - this shortens distances and optimises the material flow. The Versastore® demonstrates its strengths particularly in matrix production, with a wide range of variants and changing quantities required: it adapts flexibly to the product portfolio and ensures a rapid response to disruptions or bottlenecks - without the need for reorganising or manual intervention.
Efficient workpiece processing through integration of storage and production
In modern production environments, the intelligent linking of storage and production plays a central role - especially in the context of smart factory logistics. The GEBHARDT Versastore® enables precisely this connection: Workpieces are not only stored but can also be integrated into the production process directly from the warehouse. This saves distances, reduces stock transfers and minimises sources of error. A central element is the developed load carrier - the tray. Compared to conventional containers, it is accessible from all four sides and is not limited in shape. This means that products of different sizes can be flexibly accommodated and loaded at variable heights. This open structure makes the Versastore® particularly suitable for use with a wide variety of products and changing requirements - an important building block for end-to-end digital, adaptable material flows in the smart factory.
Excellent technology for all industries
Whether automotive, mechanical engineering or electronics manufacturing - industries with complex production processes need flexible and space-saving solutions. The GEBHARDT Versastore® combines automated storage, fast material provision and optimised production processes in a single system. With a speed of up to 3.1 m/s, the GEBHARDT Versastore® is optimised for fast-moving, automated processes. The modular design enables customisation to the specific requirements of each company.
- Maximum load: 50 kg per shelf
- Storage options: Goods up to 550 x 350 x 400 mm
- Seamless integration: Compatible with automated guided vehicles (AGV)
- Optimised control: Warehouse Execution Software (WES) with AI-supported route optimisation
The entire material flow is optimised thanks to intelligent software control and integration into existing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). This minimises transport routes, maximises storage densities and significantly reduces production times.
Future-proof efficiency for your production
The GEBHARDT Versastore® is more than just a modern solution - it is a forward-looking system that meets the requirements of Industry 4.0. With its dynamic adaptability, direct processing options and seamless process integration, it offers an optimum solution for companies that want to maximise the efficiency of their production and storage processes. The Versastore® not only creates short-term efficiency gains but also ensures a sustainable competitive advantage and a continuous increase in productivity in the long term.
